Get Paid to Drive Your Car or Wear a T-Shirt? - Really?
January 19, 2009 | Leave a Comment
I saw the advertisement “Get paid to drive your car, wear t-shirts, and more.” For curiosities sake, I decided to find out what this business opportunity was all about. So I clicked on the advertisement and I find myself at the EyeEarn website (part of a SFI, the world’s largest affiliate network).
The first thing I noticed was that EyeEarn was a member of the Better Business Bureau…okay good…..that made me feel a little better about trusting this as a potential business opportunity.
So I put in my name and email to sign up for the free membership. Of course the confirmation email they send to me goes into my spam folder……hmmmm, does that mean I’ll be looking forward to a lot of junk email from them?
After confirming my registration, I read through the first page and notice they have a disclaimer stating “…due to improperly configured spam filters, many e-mails will not get delivered if you do not put the sender’s e-mail address on your “safelist”.” Read more
7 Industries Moms Can Make Millions In
October 17, 2008 | 14 Comments
I hear this question asked all the time: I want to make millions, but how can I do it?
Well, mom entrepreneurs might be interested in the 7 industries that offer the greatest potential for making millions. Hopefully this will give you food for thought. Here is a highlight of the best industries to start a business in (featured in Entrepreneur Magazine).
1. Children’s Services - Parents want to give their kids the best. This is true now and will be into the future. So services that will empower or enrich the lives of children stand a chance at making big money. Such services would not just include basic tutoring but children’s gyms and fitness/activity centers, programs for science or cooking, music and art programs. Being a work-at-home mom I value these types of services tremendously. They provide a place for me to take my toddlers where they can receive a fun and educational experience and it gives me a break from having to provide entertainment for my kids 24/7.
Some children service franchises are:
The Mad Science Group - The world’s leading provider of science enrichment for children
Young Chefs Academy - Cooking school just for kids
JW Tumbles - Offers fun interactive classes that help children develop their physical, social and personal skills
The Little Gym - Offers programs that include movement, music, gymnastics, sports, exercise, games, listening and cooperation
Chyten Educational Services - a premium tutoring and test preparation company with proprietary strategies that have earned it a reputation for excellence
Music Together - Early childhood music programs stressing adult involvement in mixed-age classes involving singing and exploring music
Sylvan Learning Centers - Offers tutoring services
2. The Wine Industry - I live right in the heart of wine country in California, and I can say from experience that this industry is still going strong….yes I do enjoy a glass of wine or two. :-) Not long ago I attended a presentation given by our County’s Economic Development Board Director and he forecasted the wine industry will still be thriving in the coming years. He noted, we may see a lot of foreign money coming into this industry because of the declining U.S. dollar, but we’ll still see growth in the industry. Opportunities in the wine industry are not just making and selling wine, but wine bars, tasting parties, wine nick-nacks, wine based foods, wine themed clothing, wine accessories, etc.
Some wine franchise opportunities include:
Borvin Beverage Franchise Corp. - wholesale wine and beverage distributor
Vintner’s Cellar Franchising Int’l - franchisor of unique vint on premise winemaking retail stores
Water 2 Wine - Winery where customers can bottle, cork, and custom label their wine
WineStyles Inc. - Offers a new and easy way for customers to find wines that suits their individual tastes. The store’s concept demystifies the wine buying experience, making life easier for the customer. Wines are categorized by style; bold, crisp or bubbly. Read more
Submit Your New Invention Ideas to Proctor & Gamble
August 6, 2008 | 12 Comments
Proctor & Gamble is seeking YOUR well-developed ideas through their Connect and Develop program.
I had the pleasure of speaking with Jeff LeRoy, External Relations Manager for The Procter & Gamble Company about their Connect and Develop program which includes a needs list with new types of innovations that the company is seeking.
He wanted me to know that they encourage mom inventors to submit their well-developed product ideas or concepts.
“The more your idea has been developed, the better.”
They like products that have already been tested on the market and have done well.
For example, if you have a great recipe for a baked fruit or vegetable snack and you’ve trademarked the recipe, you’ve tested it around your neighborhood, maybe got some local stores to carry it, and received feedback from your customers that they absolutely love your snack….. submit it to Proctor and Gamble! They may decide to work with you on developing the snack to be sold through their distribution channels. If you can show to them that there are people who are interested in the snack and excited about buying it, Proctor and Gamble may want to partner with you on your product. Read more
Six Figure Yearly Program – Is it Worth the Money?
August 4, 2008 | Leave a Comment
What is the Six Figure Yearly Program?
I was very curious about The Six Figure Yearly Program so I purchased it to find out what it is all about. This is an online course with a series of videos that teaches you a way of making money online.
Is it Useful?
The program challenges you to really think about what is the best way to make money…and how to make a lot of it. Basically, you will learn how get the most amount of money out of the time you spend doing something. With a job you get paid hourly, you trade your time for money. The same with a service business, the amount of money you can make is limited by how many hours you can dedicate to providing your service.
So this program enlightens you and provides you with a way to do something once and get paid for it over and over and over again.
Who is best suited for this Program?
I definitely recommend this program for newbie’s who haven’t learned about network marketing yet. It’s a good starting point for beginners. If you are new to network marketing it’s easy to get overwhelmed by all the information out there on the internet. This program provides a clear concise way to filter out the clutter and begin to make a profitable business online.
The Downside
The downside of Six Figure Yearly Program is that it doesn’t have a lot of NEW information for those who are already familiar with network marketing. But, if you already have an affiliate marketing business, you could take advantage of the new stream of income they have to offer. And it is a good refresher and you may pick up a few good search engine optimization tips, especially from the bonuses offered with the program.
Is it Worth the Money?
So is the SixFigureYearly program worth the money?
Yes, if you are new to affiliate marketing. But probably not if you are already familiar with affiliate marketing. You’ll probably be better off getting a more thorough program like the one I discuss in this article.
For newbies, I believe the information you receive is worth the money you will spend on the program. This program provides a couple options to begin making money right away.
You won’t start making thousands of dollars right away…but with a little time and effort the potential is there to make a fantastic income. The best thing about this program is that you can work on it whenever you have the time. If you aren’t able to do any work for a couple of days, it’s no problem because all your previous work won’t go to waste; it just keeps building and building. You can build your business as fast or as slow as you need to.
It’s easy to start, and it provides simple step-by-step instructions to get started.
I started using some of the money making techniques that this program provides and have had good luck so far. You can check out the Six Figure Yearly Program here!
