Finding a mentor is one of the most important ingredients to becoming a young successful millionaire. The idea of trying to forge your way to millions without guidance is daunting. Every young entrepreneur should have a mentor to offer us advice and guidance. Mentors aren’t just people that you know personally. There are several areas where you can find a mentor.

1. Books – Many successful people have written books about their success and given us a blueprint for our own journey.

2. Your Personal Friends and Family – Look inside your circle of friends and family. Find someone who has done something that you wish to achieve. Is there someone who has become really successful that you look up to? Is there some that can offer you advice and guidance?

3. People in the Professional World – Think about your current and past bosses, your school teachers, your church leader, or anyone that you’ve met in your past.

4. The Government – If you have decided to go into business for yourself, the Government has a program that matches new entrepreneurs with experienced entrepreneurs in a Mentor Program called SCORE. (SCORE “Counselors to America’s Small Business” is a nonprofit association dedicated to educating entrepreneurs and the formation, growth and success of small business nationwide. SCORE is a resource partner with the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA).
