You’ll want to find out what other people think about your new invention ideas.

If you are concerned that someone will steal your idea, you can have them sign a non-disclosure agreement before you ask them questions about your product.

1. Do you like the product?

2. Does it solve a problem that you have?

3. Would you buy the product?

4. If you would NOT buy the product, why?

5. What would you change about it?

6. Do you like the look?

7. How much would you purchase it for?

8. Do you like the size?

9. Where would you go to buy it? (What stores would you expect to see it in?)

10. What kind of packaging would you expect it to be in?

11. Would you expect one or more units to be in the package?

12. Would you tell other people about the product?

13. How often would you use the product?

14. How many would you buy?

By finding out the answers to these questions, you’ll be two steps ahead when it comes to knowing how to market your idea.

    Doing something like this survey will help give you a better understanding of the marketablity of your invention. These questions can be reworded to work for almost any product.
